This customer had no logo, or color schemes, no letterhead, or brochures from which to draw. We created the logo, and the buttons resembling wood due to the nature of the business. Also, there is an automated order form, it was created as a temporary method until the customer is ready to establish an online merchant account for ordering. |

You find a lot of offers out there for a "free Web Page" or "develop your own web page" or "get a cheap web page". Be careful - most of these offers are so that they can banner some sort of advertising across your web page whenever someone views it, and not necessarily ads that you would agree with! Do you want a Web "Page" or is what you really need a Web "Presence" for you business? The type of presence that can only be developed by a professional who will understand your business, can analyze your purpose for developing a web site, and create a site that is attractive, well navigated, and best of all, represents your taste, and your business? This requires analytical, technical, project management, and design expertise. We at Computer Guidance would like to bring 20+ years of this level of expertise to your web site development through our unique methodology.
FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS First, we will meet with you to determine your requirements for the web site. Are you looking to give information out to a select audience of people? Or are you trying to automate a portion of your business, i.e. online sales, validations, file sharing & downloading, share sound clip examples, pre-qualification of potential customers, customized e-mail depending upon user choices, online catalog, survey, etc? Do you have changing information that you would like to maintain in-house after we're done? Are you trying to increase your business by drawing people to your site for information?
VISUAL ANALYSIS Next, we'll analyze the appearance you would like for your site. Do you already have graphic art designed for your business, such as logos, mottos, brochures, etc.? The more of this that is already developed, the faster and less expensive it will be to develop the pages for your site. If you would like graphic art designed, we will bring in an expert to help with that portion of the development. We'll look at various sites to determine what image appeals to you. Do you need animation? This can be accomplished as part of the development process. At this point, we'll put together an outline of your site and an estimate and plan for its completion.
PROTOTYPE After agreement of the development plan, a prototype of your home page, buttons, navigation, etc. will be shown to you for your review and input. We will work this until the layout is agreed upon, as this determines the appearance and work for the entire project. You will need to have all of your pictures, documentation, and information gathered and turned over at this time for the project to proceed.
CODING & IMAGERY Next, we roll up our sleeves and build your site, scanning images, developing code, creating animations, and allowing you to view it in a hidden place on the net until it is completed, and agreed.
PROOFING You will need to proof the site before we will upload it to your web location for the whole world to see!
IMPLEMENTATION & TRAINING If your people are going to maintain the site, we'll train them on the use of the tools needed. If you have an online store, then there will be training on the method of changing inventory, prices, etc. This completes your web site development, but not your web site requirements.
WEB POSITIONING Your site needs to be advertised in the correct manner to the applicable search engines and categories. Depending upon your most targeted search engine/audience, we may build special "doorway" pages if you have more than one area of interest for potential visitors. We will make every attempt to get your site highly ranked with your most important search engine. This may not be accomplished until your site has been online for a while, monitored for visitor trends, modified to get a higher hit ratio, and then re-advertised to the search engines. This is a special service that we offer to customers whether we have built their site or not, including monthly usage reports so you can determine your web site's impact.
MAINTENANCE We can maintain your site for you for as long and as often as you would like. If you already have a web site, we can maintain that for you also, whether you would like an updated appearance, additional capability, moved to another server, etc.
